On April 23, 2019, students in a Skidmore College Humanities Action Lab class held a press event at the Capitol in Albany. They were there to present to Governor Cuomo their petition in support of SHARE, having gathered more than 1,200 signatures. Led by Visiting Assistant Professor A. J. Schneller, the class adopted SHARE, studied both its climate change and its environmental justice issues, and conceived and executed an action plan, culminating in the press event.
